Information for visitors to our site

The Joe Warren for County Board campaign takes electronic privacy seriously. We want you to know what information is collected through this site, and how it's used and protected.

Tracking visits. This site does not require registration, does not utilize cookies, and does not maintain any system to identify visitors by name. Our server does collect data on site visits and pages viewed (identified only by IP address). Those data are used only to assess overall viewership and page popularity, not to identify individual visitors.

Name and address information. Several pages on this site request personal identification information, such as name, postal address and email address. We retain that information, and may add your name and address to our print and electronic mailing lists and send information to you from time to time. You may ask to be removed from our lists at any time, and we will promptly honor your request.

Data usage. Our electronic and print mailing lists are accessed only for campaign purposes. All financial contributions to the campaign are disclosed in reports filed with the Arlington County Board of Elections, as required by Virginia state election law.

Financial transactions. Some pages on this site allow you to make online payments to us. The payment processing is performed by PayPal, and the transactions are conducted on that company's secure servers. PayPal transmits the funds to the campaign, along with your name, postal address and email address. PayPal does not reveal your financial account number or any information regarding your account.
