Common sense for Arlington

The Joe Warren for County Board campaign is dedicated to promoting common sense leadership to improve our quality of life in Arlington County.

  • Support transit programs that move people - not for development
  • Support improved mobility for pedestrians and motorists alike
  • Support adequate parking to protect neighborhoods
  • Oppose the wasteful Columbia Pike streetcar project (see details).
  • Oppose the forced congestion policies of the proposed Master Transportation Plan

• Budget and taxes
  • Set priorities so that important needs recieve adequate funding: public safety, schools, infrastructure.
  • Weed out projects of dubious value, such as "coke bottle art" in median strips.
  • Better management of capital projects.
  • Hold the line on taxes to keep Arlington affordable for middle-class families.
