INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS

Contributions to Warren for County Board are governed by Virginia election law:

  • Individual and corporate contributions are allowed.
  • Contributions are not tax-deductible. However, contributors may claim a Virginia state income tax credit of 50% of contributions to state and local candidates (up to $25 per year for an individual, or $50 on a joint return - see details).
  • All contributions totaling more than $100 within a calendar year from a single person or source must be disclosed in financial disclosure reports, including the contributor's name, occupation and location of employer.
